Financial Ombudsman Service sees PPI complaints soar

by admin on July 15, 2010

The number of claims being handled by the Financial Ombudsman Service continues to grow. The FOS is currently dealing with over 1,000 cases per week, largely due to the fact that many consumers are being fobbed off with rejection letters.

Consumers are missing out on compensation payouts as they do not understand the process of taking a claim to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Claims for PPI mis-selling regularly exceed £2,000, especially where the consumer has taken out single-premium PPI.

Not all claims are eligible to be referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service. If your claim has already been rejected by the lender, don’t give up. If you’ve tried and failed to claim back your payment protection premiums, contact a claims company today to find out whether you can claim back your mis-sold payment protection premiums.
